During the ongoing Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial, Heard claimed that her role and participation in the upcoming Aquaman sequel had been significantly "pared down." Heard had originally signed on for a three-picture deal alongside Jason Momoa in Aquaman as Mera, and made a quick appearance in the Justice League movie reprising her role.
The third picture is Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, a sequel scheduled to be released in 2023, but Heard said she's hardly in it now saying she fought really hard to stay in the movie and even claimed Warner Bros. didn't want to include her in the film.
"I was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it, that depicted my character and another character, without giving any spoiler away, two characters fighting with one another, and they basically took a bunch out of my role," Heard said. "They just removed a bunch out."
